Special Learning
Barbara teaches, tutors, and supports the client with professional consultation and is cooperative in conferring with the child's teacher to be more effective in his or her development. She uses a multi-sensory approach and a powerful method of brain education based on many years of research into the science of the brain. She utilizes ground-breaking Power Brain Education methods. In order to help her students improve their focus and improve memory power, she uses power brain practices that condition the student's physical state and ability to balance. These power brain practices improve sensory awareness, emotional regulation, imagination, concentration, and balance.

- Taught four years at Macintosh Academy in Littleton, Colorado 2004-2008
- Taught several gifted and twice exceptional children
- Academic help for those with learning challenges
- Additional specialized training in dealing with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and Sensory Processing Disorder
- Taught in the Academic Support Center while attending Calvin College
Committed to each child's unique and individual needs, she creates lesson plans which intrigue and invite the child to motivate themselves to learn. Individual lesson plans are designed to accompany and support the learner's school curriculum. She will consult with the child's teacher if needed and/or requested.
